Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Aaaaw satay I am so very sorry to read this news.

He sounds like he was a very brave boy and his pain is now gone. I hope your pain eases soon also.

A sad update from me this morning. For those that remember me posting that Zeus was diagnosed with bone cancer in October. He lost his battle yesterday,:hit He was doing well til yesterday morning when i went to let him out he couldn't walk properly and unfortunately i knew that that was his time. We got the vet out and and he peacefully went to sleep. While i am heartbroken this morning the vet tells me that he was some what of a miracle boy as he had never heard of one lasting as long as he did and to have no side effects from the meds he was on, he says was just about unheard of.

Apps hope Carl continues to get better.

Teila we now have crows too! The magpies that kept them away are gone and the crows have moved in. I will be keeping a beady eye on them for sure.

Enjoyed seeing all the egg and chicken pics.

Our girls are hot but surviving the heatwave here in Perth. They are laying ferociously and we have eggs eggs and more eggs!

One of the Aussies lays her egg from the highest perch and it drops to the floor at the back of the coop (where they all poop) and is difficult to reach.

I have made a scoop to get it out and will post a pic latter. It works a treat (for the eggs that don't break on landing)

Sincerest condolences to you on the loss of your beloved Zeus.

He would have only faced pain and much discomfort had he continued, so his time had come and you courageously knew that.

He is in a peaceful place now - after his life which was filled with care and so much love.

I so understand your grief.

Anniebee ....

Hi fellow Aussies!
Can anyone please shed some light on the breed of my two new ducks? I've had chickens for a while but this is my first time with ducks so I'm unsure on the breed. I was thinking Swedish black but I'm not sure. Also is it too early to tell gender, I think they're about ten weeks but not 100%

Thanks! :)
