Morning All
frow.gif

I hope you are all enjoying your Wednesday morning.

Thanks Fizzybelle and Teila, I am not as stressed about my broodies as what I was and I will just keep persisting with them.

But the good news is I think Polly is broken! YAY!!!! Now I am just waiting for Harriet and Rowena to go through this now

But I guess its all part of having chickens and I love being a chicken Mum:)

jessbonnitcha I'm sorry to hear your chookies are pecking and hurting one of their own. Mine do this from time to time but havent caused any damage yet. They even peck the dogs sometimes which frightens them:( I hope it settles down for you...

Broody Sybil trying to look scary.... she's not fooling anyone

Just candled the eggs in with the Broodies. Either I only gave the 10 or I've lost some. All showing good development.
3 hens in box on top of the eggs now though as bubbles has joined them for the night.

Teila ...

Glad you know what is going on with your health, but not so chirpy to know you have to go through the angio-gram etc. However, it has to be done - and I have no doubt will begin to fix the problems for you, so that is something to look forward to.

If something looms, that is really bothersome, I look forward to the day beyond it - and another new beginning. It's the only way I manage those kinds of things. Works for me, so maybe you could try that mind exercise too ?.

Understand about 'looking at things that need to be done' .... drives me nuts. Having had gout recently, I am as slow as a wet week, and found it very difficult to get around to do anything. But I DID manage to save my energy and painless times to do the chookies. ... dems is first cabs off the rank around here for me - except on two occasions when I simply could not get that far walking.

Hubby has been very helpful though, with housework etc. However, he refused to measure the ACV into water for the 2 big girls on those two occasions ... ( I think he was afraid he'd get it all wrong and poison me chooks ).

Stay positive and try to be calm ... all will be well.

Cheers .......

Good morning folks

Thank you LuckysMum and Anniebee

I mentioned to hubby my concerns about what I will and will not be able to do. I mentioned that I would ask them if it would be OK to do washing hoping for a “that’s OK, I can do it” but instead got “the washing can wait a week” [Sigh]

The day before the procedure, without overdoing it, I plan to do the vacuuming etc so it should be OK for a while afterwards. With the weather being nicer, I can always put on blinkers and go outside with the gals and a book. It is kinda funny that I am thinking the recovery is going to be my biggest challenge, I am not one to sit idle but guess I am going to have to learn

LuckysMum aaaw, your poor little girl; I agree that it is probably not worth the risk. Do you have anyone who is not bullying her and with who she can be best buds instead of on her own?

sjturner79 that is a lot of eggs .. sending good hatching vibes your way

Tee hee Chook Newby Sybil is adorable!

Anniebee thank you for the tip .. yep, staying positive and remaining calm, even though sometimes work tests my ability to do that
wink.png
However, it is a great way to take my mind off things. Yep, ensuring the chookies and puddy cats are well cared for is top of my list and I guarantee that if I am not allowed or not able to do what needs to be done, I will be supervising

Teila, you'll be ' firing on all engines ' again , once they sought you out. Hubby had a stent put in over a year ago now and the technology has improved since then .
I have ' lockdown ' tomorrow with the orps and glw , but my laundry is full of coronation chicks.
May have to blend the two batches.
My new coop arrived. :)

sjturner good luck with the eggs. I hope they hatch without any problems.

Teila Even supervising can be exasperating so relax.

I hadn't even thought of a friend for her, another Sussex hatched with her I might try and put them together and see how it goes. Thanks for the advice. I was feeling bad for her.

Fancy Absolutely beautiful. Lucky girls.
