Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Yeah, I got the lecture on using good quality feed & crumble instead of pellets so the sneaky little so & so's couldn't just pick out all the good stuff.
Yeah. My chickens splash it all over the ground. It’s so annoying cause we have a hanging one so mice can’t get it and then the chickens push it all over the ground. So much for saving feed...

Well I researched & researched because last time we had chooks the mice came in droves followed by the snakes... so I opted for a treadle feeder & all we hear is the lid banging up & down & my girls are lazy. They prefer to wait on the table scraps just chucked in the pen. *sigh*

Oh the pigeons have learned how to open those lids so we abandoned that

I don't have pigeons to worry about but my idiot neighbours are feeding the cockies & I'm doing everything I can to discourage them because they are so destructive.

Oh they sit on my chicken ribs and play with the cable ties which hold the lot together
We get a lot of birds. I especially like the small songbirds but things like the cockies scare them away. I bought a feeder for the little birds that the cockies couldn't get into & dang! but one unscrewed the feeder, lifted it in it's beak & flew as high as it could before dropping it so it broke open. I did not repeat that experiment. The cockies always win.

Lol that’s funny. Not funny for you but funny for me
