Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

I would definitely be interested in a swap :) I'm addicted to hatching it seems... my incubator won't be free for about a month but if that time frame suits your other Aussie, pair us up :) I'm in Victoria. I can't see signatures on the mobile site so please let me know if I need to give you any more info.

Thanks everybody :) two more hatched over night. Total of five now. Two A team, two B team and a white ara :)

Satay, you're getting eggs from Julie? She's so nice isn't she? Nine are coming early next week and will go in with the Yokohama :)

Had a bit of typical Aus post trouble getting them here so not too hopeful about the hatch rates for the yoko..

I also wouldn't mind doing the swap, but all I have going at the moment are my Japanese bantams (from show quality lines) and my quail (which I'm currently checking the fertility on before sending some the Sam the Quailman).

The bantams are awesome, but not for everyone and I would hate for them to be unwanted when someone opens up the delivered box...

Congratulations Pinky on the chicks! I hope you get many little hatchlings :)

I've been part of this swap for two years now. I don't think I've had anybody unhappy with what the received. We swap for the fun of it and because we're addicted to hatching. I do have several categories to choose from. If anybody has questions, send me an PM.

Thanks,
Jim

I've joined the swap :)

Come Spring, we should do our own Aussie swap. It would be epic.

...I'm glad I have 2 incubators... I'm truly starting to get addicted to hatching, lol.

YES, this is what I am waiting for.

May I ask, what bators do you have? I am seriously considering getting one!

I have two Hovabators (boh hold 42 eggs with auto turners and I have racks to hold 120 quail eggs). They are not as good as the R-com but less than half the price, so I don't mind that I have to keep an eye on the temperatures when the humidity goes above 70% (they spike randomly when it gets too humid when the eggs hatch, which can kill some of the late hatchers if you're not careful). But if you can afford it, go for the R-com or one of the lyons range.

I like incubating better than hatching with a broody hen as the survival rate seems to be higher and the hen doesn't lose condition. That said, it would be nice to see a hen trotting around with her brood

Thanks!
I have made a thread on suggestions, so hopefully I can make a decision.
