Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

The Silver Laced Wyandottes looked amazing too.
I used to breed them also.

Sigh! - So many chooks so little space!
I would love a few too just for ornamental reasons, I think they are one of the prettiest chickens :)

New egg colour yesterday, it's a bit hard to tell from the photo but it has this really weird green tinge over it, I'll be interested to find out who laid it... I'm going to have to separate my good girls out from the cross breeds to work out who is laying what...

Little Miracle has joined the girls this morning in the big hen house. Here she is on her first try at free ranging.

and here she is with some of the others out free ranging. I thought there might be some rough housing when i first introduced her as some of my hens can be a tad bossy but she ran on in and they excepted her no problems at all. She could do with some more weight gain as she is a little skinny but other than that she is doing great.

Great news Satay, is that a Barney roo in the background?

Thats my old boy Boo.. He is a maran or was sold to me as a maran anyways, He is 7 years old and the most beautiful of boys.. I don't breed with him anymore ( but his off spring used to lay the darkest brown egg). He is the head rooster so he keeps everyone under control. He is the very first roo I have ever owned, I got him from an old farmer out this way.
