Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Hi-just joined site from Sydney.hatched my first clutch under a broody hen 6 weeks ago but now mums chasing one pullet away and some other chicks are copying her-they have their own night coop in the chicken zone and mum and chicks are free ranging with the big birds which sleep In the main coop.what should I do?

If it is not appearing injured or sick the mums do sometimes start to chase them off at that age to fend for themselves.

Yes mate - but they won't be laying until late Feb. They are Show Quality.
How do I know they are Show quality? - Because I went around the shows and noted the names of
the prize winners, then asked them to sell me some eggs!
I can't wat to see what I get when I cross them back with my own strain.

I have half a dozen of Pinky's white monsters and a few of her Barred Rocks - they are turning into interesting birds.

We have another bush baby. Found my Aussie in the banana garden with a chick.. Thought she had no eggs and haven't found a nest yet.
