Had a visitor this afternoon. He did laps just coasting round and round in circles for about 10 minutes.
He wasnt really paying much attention to our chickens though they were on guard and the rooster was watching it carefully.
He seemed more interested in something in the yard one or two over and went down there a couple of times. Last time he seemed to vanish so not sure if someones pet bunny was being a snack and thats why he didnt come back up.
Any idea what type of Hawk? he is exactly? Eating chickens aside they really are a beautiful bird arent they.

He was fairly low, just above the tree line but it was over next doors not us so that's with my 200mm lens and then I cropped in closer as well.Looks like a Wedge Tail - was he that low, or did you take that with a telephoto?
A pair of them fly in circles around here every day- but always up high.

Great photoI like the little signature too. Is photography a hobby of yours?
That's pretty cool, is it infra-red? Seem to be a heap of flying fixes round lately.
Thanks, Yeah I do it for a living. Though I'm a bit sick of working weekends so am scaling right back at the moment.
