First Quail Question!

If I we get quails they will be our first. Do we need to Quarantine them or can I just put them straight into their home?

I would suggest you do. That way you can worm and de-mite them and if they have anything, it's not going to be transferred to their new run.

Have fun with the quails! I have some eggs from the Quailman going into lock-down tomorrow and I can wait to meet them

They can be aggressive toward one another but I've found that so long as you keep an eye on (and not introduce other quails to a set colony) they are fine and easy to handle.

Yes please!
I don't really know anyone as I am a bigginner with chickens. New to different breeds, I just have what my local rural store has to offer.
The girls I have now are all nice and calm and good layers.
My hubby knows someone who worked with him, but left now. They keep in contact.....
He said I can buy an EE from him one day, when he has some, but non available yet. I am patient :) Is $30 a good price for an EE pullet ?
I would love a dark brown egg layer too.

I did not mean to sound rude sorry if I did the reason I wont be selling as yet is I only have 3 hens and need to build some girls for myself first but would be happy to pass on some eggs for you to try hatching when i have some available. I will get the details for the lady mine came from in Burpengary and pm them to you. I would not pay more than $15 for an ee pullet. You could get an araucana hen or rooster and cross it with one of your brown egg layers and you will get an ee.

What does that mean? Do hens need to be a certain age before you hatch their eggs?

Hatching pol eggs will some times lead to chickens that don't thrive. Cause they are new to laying. it can be done though. Mine weren't pol in the end if your remember Luke they ended up being bantie cross not welsummer..
