So many awesome chickens! I especially love the Brahma and intend to find some of my own one day...
Until then, here are the Wellie photos I promised satay:
Lady Welsummer, she and my boy are 12 weeks old. You can't really see from this angle, but she really does have the brown/gold lacing on her back feathers.

Lord Welsummer. As you can see, it's taking him a bit longer to grow into his own colouring.

And what the hell, here are some more that are in the same youngster pen.
My Silkie hen

Some Australorps with my cross-bred hen (she looked like a Welsummer when she hatched)

And my much beloved Sebrights who are now 14-15 weeks old

My handsome Rooster who likes to annoy my turkeys through the wire.

And a random picture of a corner of my big run I sectioned off with bird netting for my young Araucana. If you look closely, you should be able to see my single Belgian D'uccle. (I bought 8 mille fleur eggs, got one hatch and it was a lavender... seriously, don't have eggs posted)

Is anyone here going to the May Pure-breed poultry sale in Queanbeyan (20 min from Canberra) on the 19th May? It's not an Auction and they only accept pure bred poultry, but seeing as half the members show their birds, I think there will be lots of pretty poultry
