Vent away colourful none of us mind most of us have been there too at least know the loss of animals we love. It's never easy.
Update for this week on new grain. 9 eggs a day for the last week so I am guessing my brahmas weren't laying that went to dad's We will see how the next few weeks go now as we had to buy more feed and this time they had no chick peas available so we had to substitute soy . The bush babies went to a new home yesterday too and pearly the gay budgie is sitting on another 5 eggs too. Guess she really has turned now lol.

I loved my two first Turkeys and they will be dearly missed. They had character and they were lovely pets.

It has been 3 days now and she hasn't returned so I think she has really gone now

I'm not sure now whether to keep my other duck if she doesn't have a friend, I mean she does have 20 chickens to hang with but well...chickens don't swim.LOL.

Her baby came out beautiful though I feel she stole the egg from the other couple in the cage They were both using the same box as it looked like them not her. I did forget to take a picture of it but it is now living in Brissy with my two little nephews. This time I am pretty sure the eggs are hers as she is the only one using that nest box. Time will tell I guess.

OK Sam here is another laugh for you and your work mates today. Another it could only happen to me moment.

On the way back from feeding the girls this morning I though I might pull a few weeds from a round the garden near the house as we have rellies coming up in a few weeks. I hate weeding with a passion so I put it off as long as I can, Second pull of some weeds and I slice my little finger open on some blade grass. I go inside and wrap in in a band aide but it wont stop bleeding..They normally reclose themselves straight away. 20 mins later it is still gushing out blood so I think I will go to the chemist in town and see if they can suggest something to stop the bleeding. The chemist comes to look as says are you sure that's how you hurt it... Ummm yes I reply. He says I need to go to the doctors as it may need glueing. .Really? I have to go to the hospital as the doctors aren't open..... Our hospital looks like the one from A country practice if you are old enough to remember the show. I get taken in straight away and the doctor after all the same questions from before and while giggling says she has never seen a blade grass cut that deep.. She trys to glue it but it wont hold. So now I am the proud owner of 3 stitches in my little finger. She said 3 I didn't look as I hate needles lol.Only could happen to me lol.
