I have a load of Barred rocks and Araucana crosses due on 24/6.

Nothing but rain here - 123 mils so far and only half way through the month.

Speaking of barred rocks. Pinky both the ones I hatched from you are girls . Pretty neat but now I will have to find some nice eggs to try to hatch a boy for them Who would of thought I would be trying to hatch a rooster lol. I am usually the rooster queen lol.

Hi Pinky and all.
Some interesting colours coming through in the "Black Breasted red"
cross Araucanas.

These are the second lot of Barred Rock hens hatched from Jim Lewis's eggs.
Beautiful birds with no trace of the brown contamination.
They will go into my "A team" pen. xxxx

ok it's offical I really do have the most warped sense of humor going around. I was just outside before cleaning the brooder. When I saw the funniest thing. I have to back peddle a bit first to explain why it was funny. My neighbours on the high side where there when we moved in 6 years ago. Pat was the first person I met in Esk. She was and older lady that loved her beer and had a wicked sense of humor. She loved her trees and gardens. Unfortunately Pat was diagnosed with bowel caner and passed away almost 2 years ago. Her hubby had the house for sale as he couldn't bare to live there with out Pat. The house finally sold a few months ago to some other people. I just saw them before on the tractor trying to rip out some of Pat's prized trees. The trees are not huge but they could not get them to budge and all I could vision was Pat hanging on to the trees going your not ripping my trees out lol. At one point I could see him (a very large man almost getting flung off the tractor and the tree not budging.). They did eventually get a couple out though. OK me and my warped sense of humor will get back to work now.lol.
