Luke i think i have found the answer to getting your runners to lay.... Threaten to sell them lol. Just went down to their pen and found 2 eggs in there.

Once when one of my hens died, my dad said "Oh well, now let's give this custard apple tree a boost". Then he buried my poor little hen underneath. I was furious!
Where mine get buried all depends on how special they were to me. Our whole garden bed is occupied by deceased poultry and other pets - it's basically a graveyard.Mine go in the compost bins if they pass from old age or being attacked something like that. I do have a few of my favourites like bindi in my avatar that have special spots that they are buried.
They weren't to fussed with me trying to photograph them while they were eating so this is the best i could get. Thought i would be clever after this shot and wait til they went out to free range to take a picture. Bad idea do you know how fast those ducks can move when they see you pointing a camera at them lol.

I thought about perhaps putting some eggs under them, but my husband isn't keen on the idea haha. Probably because he think I would keep them all.![]()
