Sydney , just so you don't feel left out, here are some pics of my slw.

Ohhhhhh my goodness - They are just amazing! I don't know what's become of me - i've had chickens for less than one month but i am just obsessed with them, i never realised how gorgeous they are!.. I'm going through a REALLY hard situation at the moment and so i'm off work, i sit for at least 3 hrs in the morning and then another 3 hrs in the arvo and just watch my chooks, they make me so happy and forget everything i got to deal with hahaha my little god sends i call them! Maybe i need to move and buy a property in Tassy hmmm hehehe T H A N K Y O U S O M U C H for the pics!

Sydney , I am so pleased that my pics make you happy. I spent 3 years in hospital with many rounds of chemo and I am finally out the other side , but not without my family, friends and chooks. I have a park bench in each of my pens, so I can have a cuppa with my feathered friends. I see you like silkies too. Here are a few of mine.

Thanks M I have had gold laced Wyandotte for 3-4 years and always wanted slw. Then I got these guys in as day old chicks. I Am very happy with them.

I LOVEEEE my silkies! Your's are so gorgeous! Colours are similar to some of mine haha

I just candled my quail eggs and there are 83 developing (there were 84 but I dropped one

)
And set two incubators today, I'm going to give the crappy incubator a go with hand turning and see what happens. I've got a new breed in the rcom I'm very excited about, anyone care to guess what they are???

What a cute set up Sydneychickens and beautiful silkies and chooks...I love the names too, I had a Parsley once! I have one little unfrizzled silky in amongst my frizzle chicks, they are just adorable... I'm hoping to get some girls out of them to be little mums for me

Ok Chook I really have no idea because the breeds I am going to guess I think you already have so ... Marans, your cross are the greenish brown ones and aracuana's at the bottom. Unless the ones I am guessing as marans are perhaps barnevelders? or are the bottom ones not greenish as they appear on my screen so they could be ancona maybe? Ok I'll quit now before I drive my self mad trying to guess. Can't wait to hear what your new ones are.

Sydney needs more available fancy chickens! 

I look on gumtree at all the other states and they have such great options.. I'm so jealous of people on farms and have roosters hehe stupid Sydney! I wanna hatch chicks and not be paranoid ill get cockerels - sigh - i gotta live through all of you so please keep the chick pics coming! Hehe   

PS: Anyone in Sydney region with Plymouth Rocks or Silver Laced Wyandotte pullets - P L E A S E let me know! e

I feel your pain, I too live in Sydney and have tried to search out different breeds, but sadly my backyard isn't big enough, bring on retirement.
