Well no. But when I do go to the beach, which is not that often, I usually collect a few pieces of it and give it to them at home. Most people say they soak theirs to get rid of the salt before feeding it, but it doesn't have to be done.Really? Cuttlefish? Do you give it to them like aviary birds?
So, I dunno if any of you have seen but there's a man on the Araucana fb page that has a theory that certain foods like liver can improve blue egg color. I only have one hen who isn't laying yet but giving it a bit of a go anyway.
I've made her liver meatballs with lots of silverbeet, garlic, some tomato and chilli. Looked delicious but I can tell you, it was not... lol chooks liked it thoughoh, and dried blueberries for snacks
but I think they'r supposed to help dark egg color.![]()
