You might be able to salvage them. If I have poop on them , I wet some paper towel and wipe them clean. I know that you risk removing the bloom, but it might be worth a try.
One of my Broodiies pooped all over her eggs and I took a bucket of warm water and paper towel out and washed them all. They hatched 24 hours later.
Hubby 's doing show duty today, my turn tomorrow. I hope it's not going to be wash out. We have 4 days straight of showjumping .

Seems so funny fancy that you are worried about wash outs down there and we would do anything for some rain. Yes think I might try that. Hate washing them but in this case seems like I got nothing to loose by doing it so I will give it a go.

Ugh. Opened the front door this morning and there's a staffy sitting on our front verandah.

Not sure if it belongs to anyone in the street but haven't seen it before. Have locked the chooks in the run so they are a bit more out of sight if it comes nosing round the very jump able 4 foot side gate.

Think I'm going to ring the rangers if its still hanging round when I need to leave for work.

Gosh sandee 10c.. We are meant to get to 39c today with a chance of a storm so it will be super humid. already at 70% humidity lol. We are a land of extreme differences in climate. I did brush some off but I was washed a couple as fancy suggested not idea either way but hey I may as well give it a go.

Oh no my horse riding days are over. Both of our girls showjump and are keen eventers. They have been riding since they were 4 . Nowadays I feed, rug, unrug, organize the farrier, buy the feed , get them to their lessons and training days and I have a washing machine just for horse gear , that never stops . I love the smell of horses, I cuddle Rusty and inhale. Brings back so many childhood memories.

In his race days, Rusty fell in the starting gates and was kicked so hard in the face that his eyeball and sinuses were exposed. By some twist of fate he survived the gun on that day and after much rehabilitation has found himself here on " inlet farm ". As you can see he is enjoying his new life as an eventer. He loves cuddles

Thank you! If you wash the eggs you do run the risk of removing the " bloom ". This may leave the eggs more susceptible to the outside elements. However if you leave the dirt on them you run the risk of high bacteria levels at hatch date. Kind of 6 to one 1/2 dozen if you know what I mean
