I'm hoping the Marans chicks, which are nearly 7 weeks old are too old for him to swallow. But this one must be about 7-8 feet, I think. (He's not lying out flat for me to measure.

Um...sorry to shatter your hopes, but I reckon he'd make short work of your chicks. My sister in law up near Innisfail lost three POL hens in one night...the python was still in the coop, with three suspicious looking lumps down his body...

Hi-just joined site from Sydney.hatched my first clutch under a broody hen 6 weeks ago but now mums chasing one pullet away and some other chicks are copying her-they have their own night coop in the chicken zone and mum and chicks are free ranging with the big birds which sleep In the main coop.what should I do?
