Hootabell, what a hoot ! I found this little egg in the Silkie pen. To the right is a normal sized Silkie egg. The little one is the size of a ten cent piece .

Hey guys, we had a massive storm front hit at about 2 pm yesterday. We were at a BBQ, when we got home it looked like a hurricane had hit. The massive tree by the riverbank came down crushing a canoe , the trampoline and the ' lazy chairs ' . Luckily it didn't hit the house. The power is finally back on , but there are trees down everywhere . We have huge clean up job today. Lucky it's a public holiday here. The chooks were all a little rattled and there are several big limbs down in the main pen, one has left a big dent in the chook house roof.
Yes Lucas this is the little wild duck. I'm glad we put the ' Disney ' gang ( duckling, chick and rabbit ) in the laundry before we went out cause their hutch was smashed.

What's hysterical is I told my daughter it was a 'fart ' egg and she said " well I'm not eating it cause it'll be full of gas ".

Thanks Sam. There are a few big branches down in the horses paddocks and there was a lot of bolting around, but all is fine

We didn't get a lot of rain out of it. The winds came through here at 130 k , thunder and lightning. The temperature dropped from 38 down to 18 within the hour.
