Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

That's great news Satay, did you find the culprit?

No I haven't chook. Have a hoirrid feeling it may have been my dogs but the chickens don't seem the slighest bit afraid or nervous around the dogs so I really don't know. The freerange ladys and ducks were unharmed only one chicken from 2 different baby freerange lots. Even miracle was fine and she can been found just about anywhere on our place including the dogs beds most of the time. Have found miracle asleep with them many times.

Lol, I don't think that chickens attention span allows them to hold a grudge.
You know the old saying ' you have the attention span of an ant ' I think that also applies to chooks.

True i guess when the neighbours dogs attacked and killed a heap of ducks a few years back my ducks would not come near zeus for days and he actually saved them from the other dogs the ones that survived. , The chickens looked scared still but not of the boys so i really don't know.

My neighbour told me the other night that he is taking a desspertspoon full of D.E in water each day for ms and it is doing wonders.. (food grade of course)

Silicosis is very similar to asbestosis . When inhaled DE is directly linked to this disease. So if you dust your chooks with it you will need to wear appropriate mask and clothing. Just not worth the risk if you ask me.
