We only get screeching and small attempts at biting, but luckily it doesn't hurt.

It seems like spring fever is hitting hard everywhere! We were away yesterday & didn't collect the eggs. My little leghorn cross has now plastered herself over the eggs again & is refusing to move. We shall see how long it lasts this time! I'm not brave enough to stick my hand into the next box so she has possibly 10 infertile eggs under her. How long before they explode?![]()
Get some welding gloves- they go up to your elbow. xxxxI have a nice thick pair of gardening gloves. I just wish they went a bit further up my arms. Lol. I might fence her off & see how long she sits. Snowy skipped grazing time & is sleeping in the nest box which is in the run, not the coop so she seems a bit more determined this time.![]()
Well my eggs arrived from WA!! Huge sigh of relief!!
I've got one obvious cracked that I'll throw.
Two damp ones that were next to it. They appear okay but if that's leaked egg on them from it will that be an issue?
And the rest look good at first glance. I've sat them all big side up then had to rush out the door so will candle tonight when its darker to look for more cracks.
