Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

I realise there is a for sale section but unsure how many perth/australian people actually check it considering a majority of the people on here are from the US. So i apologise if this is against the rules. I have a lovely young australorp rooster which i need to find a new home for as we live in suburbia and unable to keep him, as much as we would like to. He is about 13 weeks old now and just the other day we heard him crow for the first time, since then we haven't heard him do it again. However i'm sure he will start crowing on a regular basis. He is super friendly and will coming running up to us when we go outside or let him out of the coop. Would love to see him go to a lovely family with other chickens. Don't want him to end up as someones dinner :) Please PM me if you are interested.
I put my rooster up on gumtree (well the 2nd one 1st one the council picked up) I got quite a few messages about him. I suspect he was taken for food. But it was quick to get rid of him.

Just sharing what a tough life my little man has! All that eating and purring must be exhausting! ;)
Better than our 20 year old kitty, she always wants to cuddle with her ruff sister.. Our dog is always thinking, "go ahead and make your move"

appps Cilla laid a tiny little fart egg a couple of weeks ago; very hard shell but with a yolk also. That is a bantam egg next to it:

Congratulations on the double yolker AussieChics; haven’t had one of those here. I love the picture of your red cattle dog looking at the chickies.

LordStark I agree with regards the Magpies, they are only doing their job, protecting their babies … it would be nice if they waited to see if we were going to scale the tree to steal them before they attacked though

curlybird I rehome my roosters via Gumtree also. Sadly, while I would like to live in denial, some probably do go for food but I cannot keep them and definitely could not process them!

City farm your cat and shepherd are adorable!!

Fancy those are the cutest photos I have seen in a very long time .. the puppy reminds me of my Charlie-Bear who I lost nearly 4 years ago; still not over it!

I used to breed, show and train rough collies, reaching Utility Dog level with a couple. Also I was an instructor at our local obedience club. I got out of the game because I could not handle the ‘politics’ and back stabbing. I just wanted to add that I agree with Jellyballoo; I have seen some robot dogs in my time; I would rather lose points in a competition because the dog was having fun, as opposed to getting top marks with a robot dog just going through the paces.

Oh , I'm sorry I brought back those feelings. :hugs We all have trouble recovering from loss, I still miss my sox so much , here little tree is looking especially lovely this spring. The council have made up 3 m banners to hang on the light posts in the Main Street . Front and centre is our youngest , showjumping , my goats , cows and even king George are on there. I had taken a pic of this lovely foal and when I rang the owner to tell her that a certain special foal would be featured on the banners, she said that sadly they had lost him. Through her tears she said that it was a lovely tribute to him.
