Yep, totally agree Fancy, DNA testing is not going to change the sex or outcome.

I guess, IF it worked on Silkies, it would reduce the amount of time you have to wait to find out if they are boys or girls but I, for one, would prefer to wait. And, to be honest, even if I had the test done, I would still wait for the crow or the egg

Thoughts of, did they get it right, would be going through my head. I prefer to see with my own two eyes before I make a decision.

And again, I do not have the heart to start pulling out my babies feathers

I would feel so guilty selling them to someone knowing they Are roos. Rather wait and advertise. You'd be surprised how many people want them. As long as they are keeping them or eating them 1 less worry for me.

just need to make sure they arent taking them to fight.

I have rehomed dozens of roos but ATM I have 6 beautiful silver laced Wyandotte , with the loveliest lacing looking for homes . Next weekend is D day , a friend will process them . It's the not so nice part of hatching eggs.

Just watching my chickens and the big girls are foraging right next to chicks fence. As they were doing so the chicks are trying to peck the girls combs lol

So we built these yesterday but seems to be a lot of waste still. Do I need to bend up a bit more or make it higher? They refuse to eat it off the floor of course!

If you take your chicken to the vet, can they sex them? My neighbours have 3 hens and they all have combs but definitely lay eggs

I wouldn't think so. Most vets know less than us about chickens lol
You can if you are desperate for an answer send feathers off to a bird DNA sexing place in Sydney and get an answer in a couple of days. Costs about $28 I think per bird.

Adjust the angle of the side bits so they are eating more from above and that will help.
