Steampunked love the “but they are too cute!” … K Spot is right; chicken math strikes again!

Dear Santa
If it is not too much trouble, can you please drop a miniature one of these in my Christmas Stocking this year

Isn't she beautiful? She belongs to a friend of mine in Italy who I have told is very lucky that she does not live close because I would chicken-nap her!

I want one!!!! lol

@Teila , She is gorgeous! What breed?

Came home to a wonderful surprise. One little fuzzy yellow Marans chick out and another nearly out of the shell!

Glad I put up that barricade yesterday afternoon. Pics in the morning when hopefully more are out

Ahhh! Well she is so pretty! I had a partridge cochin. Loved her personality! She was awesome, but did not lay many eggs (my only complaint with her). Raccoons got her this past spring

@Steampunked Welcome. It sounds like an interesting flock. I especially look forward to seeing how your Ancona's turn out. They are definitely on my someday wish list.

Lol I go to work for one Day and have 5 pages to catch up on!

Grats K on tha fluffies hatching. Hope you have a few! Satay love the baby Marans! So beautiful

Hmm Megacakes I have only had isa's that tried to kill my babies and that was through the wire. While they had lovely cuddling natures with me they were down right nasty to the babies.

I would seperate the broody and at day 21 of her sitting ( at night ) pop some under her ( my lorp was stubborn and sat for 46 days after week 2 I gave her 4 eggs spare from incubator.)

How did everyone go in the storm last night? They tell me it was a NSW wide storm warning so guessing I'm not the only one with a flooded chook pen :)

It hit while we were at my daughters school disco last night, thought we would be sleeping there getting to the cars would have been like jumping in the pool! My older two and a friend had been sitting outside on a covered verandah where it was cooler playing their DS.s when the heavens opened, it was so bad a cleaner rescued them by opening a classroom for them because they were getting soaked on the verandah and they couldn't get back to the hall. Now that's some heavy rain! Strange thing is it only says we got 8mm on weather zone. Felt more like 50, wondering if it missed their weather station.

I gave up trying to keep up with you guys! I read a few here and there and it gets rather confusing, but I'll manage. I especially love the pics

.

Weather in Ohio has been cold, cloudy, dreary, and just down right nasty. I put down a whole bale of hay yesterday just to walk into the coop area. It was like some kind of pig pen or something. Very slippery and grose.

I wish I could pipe it your way! It is pouring down snow here now. Big flakes that look like snowballs falling.

Sorry that the pic quality is not good. My phone camera is cheap. So, I am looking out my front door. It just started snowing about an hour ago. Very cold out.
