omg just had the scariest experience ever. Our house got hit by lightening. The whole of the inside roof of the house light up like a candle. I screamed and son came out both of our hair was standing on ends and we were both shaking... I couldn't hear for about 30 seconds. We are both fine.That was a bit to close for comfort. Neighbour rang said did that hit your house. I said yep.. He said he could see it from his place two propertys up the hill. Enjoying the rain but the lightening can rack off

Satay, hope nothing got fried. If I were you, I'd check the house properly after the storm has passed, just to be sure there's nothing smoldering in the walls. Also, putting up a lightning rod on your house might be a good idea.

Lightning has passed we just went and looked. Everything is ok there is a black mark on the wirly bird but son checked inside the roof and its all good.

Glad you are ok, you should probably still go get checked out tomorrow. Our daughter and dog were hit by ' sheet lightening ' a couple of years ago and the dr said that injuries can be internal. Our daughter had ultra sounds and bloods done, and we were told to keep a close eye on any learning problems . Unfortunately the dog went down hill fairly quickly and is no longer with us.

Oh sorry about your dog thats terrible. I am feeling much better now ear is back to normal. If i feel slightly off tomorrow ill be off to the docs for sure. A funny note of it all was son was in the loo when it hit... After we stopped shaking he said mum i may have been in the right place.. but it didn't help any lol
