Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

this post is mainly to @satay (because you seem to know a bit about ducks) , but if anyone else can help me that woud be great! :) a couple of weeks ago I hatched out a runner duckling and it seemed to be fine. after it hatched its feet kinda curled up a bit, I though this was normal. but its two weeks later and its feet are still the same and its feet point inwards. its still really wobbly on its feet and doesn't seem to want to stand to long. heres a picture from when it was a couple of days old. its not the best but you get an idea of what im yappin about
You need to get some brewers yeast or Vegemite into its feed . Niacin deficiency is quite common in ducks.

100% agree, The longer you leave it the harder it is to correct.
Get some brewers yeast and sprinkle it over their food once a day or mix up a small amount of vegemite in some water for them to drink. Vegemite is quite salty so not recommended for use long term. Brewers yeast can be used all the time.

Did it hatch in an incubator or under a broody? If it was an incubator it could be caused by to hot a temps during incubation which is harder if not impossible to fix once they get over a few days old. I would still go the yeast/vegemite route as you have nothing to loose by trying it. Let us know how you get on.

I got babies!!!!

Have had 3 fart eggs in a row. Should I be concerned it's every day not just once in a blue moon or would this just be penny returning to laying after being broody etc?
