RIP sweet girl.
The vet said she was very sick. They were lovely though, when they gave her back to me she commented on what a beautiful chicken she was

She was a lovely girl. :hugs

So sorry for your loss kspot, what a hard decision to make. No judgement from me I had a baby rat a couple months ago that got sick, I kept giving it one more day in the isolation tank, hoping it would get better but in the end she made the decision for me :(
I took a blue tongue to the vet a few weeks back that my dog had disembowelled, it was still alive and feisty so I didn't feel right just leaving it to die on it's own , what an awful painful way to go!!

I'm very excited but going to be in trouble, I have 3 new pullets waiting for me to pick up on Saturday! Plus I've got my husband on board to build a big new coop in the newyear once we pull down the old shed! Can't wait!! I've been drawing plans and trolling the coops pages all week. Hoping to have it done by winter at the latest as our current flat pack eBay coop isn't very insulated

Haha yep, chicken math at it's best, even though our council only allows 6 hens my coop designs would allow for a couple more lol I'm sure my dad always had 10 or so at his place like 2 blocks from here, so as long as no one comes to check I know I'll sneak more in :) maybe if I get a regular broody one I'll buy some fertile eggs to hatch and call it home education for the kids haha.
These three are a light Sussex, buff Sussex and a barnevelder :)

I think my iso brown is sick :-( yesterday she just stood there a bit lethargic. Gave them scrambled eggs and she wasnt interested. She has runny poop. This morning she looks better but she has a manky butt so will try to give her a bath after work.

when I finally caught her I checked her over. Crop was empty feet are fine. I just dunno whats going on. :-(

Hi, everyone, I'm in north west Tas and I have a 10 week old New Hampshire Red roo to give away. I know - nobody wants a roo but I figured it was worth asking. We haven't had any problems with him, its just that I have 2 roo's and 2 hens!
