Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

OK, dumb question...can I use human multi vitamins? If so, how much? I could get some pentavite from the chemist (that liquid stuff you give kids)

I was thinking more along the lines of poultry vits. They are readily available at most pet stores. Pentavite tastes awful and they wouldn't take it on their own accord. These powders are more cost effective and the chickens don't seem to mind it being added to their water.

Crisis averted. I found the missing Isa Brown snuggled up to my dog under the house, safe and sound and completely uninjured (except for the bumblefoot I've been treating).

I got everyone together for some corn so I could have a closer look and found a wound on the comb of one of my Anconas which, for now, is where I am assuming the blood came from. I'll look over everyone thoroughly tonight when they've gone to roost. In the meantime, everyone is present, alive and accounted for. Whew.

Husband is picking up some more wire on the way home to seal up those gaps.

I was trying to figure out why everyone was referring to them as windows...and then I looked at the image again. XD

It was too dark to see the wire in the windows. I was referring to the gap ABOVE them.

There, now you can see the mesh in the windows. XD

Thank you! I'll try to get to the pet place this weekend. They have all things chicken, so I'm sure they will have something.

Ah I see. Those gaps are no bigger than the ones on coronation cottage. Don't even think a cat would squeeze in there.

I found a paralysed rat in my coop a few months ago. She was alive, just not moving at all. I tossed her over the back fence.

Congrats on your new Marans, Lucas. They are beautiful
