Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

That would be the South Pole, right? Weird hearing about this kind of things, I know pretty much nothing about your country's history.

Me, I do a lot of before shots.

Just kidding. I did some modeling as a kid though. Not that I was a particularly cute kid, I think it was more of a nepotism thing. My dad was the editor for a publication. Or really, I think they were just lazy and didn't look for a model too hard.

I hope they paid you at least :). My kids can probably say the same, been in quite a few mags now, unfortunately I always got the fee lol. Not modelling as such, just subjects in photos :)

Good morning folks and TGIF!

satay yeah, I am with you on that one, the weather has gone crazy! But, I am not complaining, loving the cooler temps and lack of rain; we are drying out nicely.

Syba (cat) is not so impressed and has switched into ‘Warmth Vampire’ mode .. if you sit in a chair you instantly have a cat on you chest, drawing all your warmth. If you get out of a chair he quickly replaces you, again draining the warmth out of the cushion .. I have nicknamed him Frog because he does not do cold!

Hey Ozchick222 welcome!
I am relatively new to keeping chickens also, just over two years, but I would not be concerned about your girls not laying; I believe it is probably just a seasonal-moulting thing and lots of us have noticed a decrease in eggs of late.

Bambrook Bantams is now at Day 17 of being an Egg-Free-Zone due to moulting, broodies and chickens on strike!

vehve loved the bunny video! She has a nice little nest there; looking forward to the bubby pics

Is she nesting or getting ready for next Christmas and practicing her Santa makeup!

Sam your day at the museum sounds like fun; I love poking around museums.

Welcome also Rainbowchooks
I am no expert but I agree with Fancy and satay, looks like Silkie in the mix.

No news of note from here.
As I mentioned, loving the weather and looking forward to spending some time with the gals and nuggets over the weekend. Sadly, I probably only have a couple more weeks with some of the nuggets as the boys will have to be found new homes. But, on a positive note, it still looks like I will get to keep two from the hatch.

Princess Diva (aka Blondie) appears to be attempting a run breakout via a large tunnel she is digging!

LuLu is still wandering around the place educating invisible babies and Dusty, while not being naked and ready for basting anymore is apparently enjoying the break from laying eggs and living up to her nickname ‘Dustbin’. She is the guts of the flock and appears to be on a mission to fatten up for winter!

The Nuggets are adorable! They have learnt that mealworms are yummy and whenever we go out during the day to check on them they all come running to see what we have for them!

They are so adorable at breakfast time .. they are confined to the coop and small run overnight so in the morning they are all lined up at the door, waiting to get out and have breakfast.

I wonder sometimes how Cilla stays so patient with them … “Mum! He chest bumped me!!”; “Mum! She stole my bug”, “Mum! I wanna play piggy back”, “Mum! I want a snuggle” “Mum! Why can’t I swing off your comb and wattles?” “Mum! Why can’t I peck you in the eye?” “Mum! WHERE ARE YOU!!”
