If you plug it in and press the left hand button and the lights don't come on, then it is faulty and you need to contact your eBay seller and let them know they should replace it.

If they won't the you need to log a case with E bay -- Unless the auction stated faulty or AS Is

If you can't turn it on, I'd contact the seller, like suggested.

Then the McGyver option, possibly voiding warranties, depending on how much of a hurry you're in and how much you paid for it. The JN24 manual mentions some sort of fuse housing, if you can open it without violence I'd take a peek in there to see if the fuse is intact. But it might also be sealed in some way, and opening it might void the warranty. Anyway, if it's broken, replacing it might work unless something else is broken as well.

should just need to press and release - not hold

I did and it's still not switching on so I guess I should have it replaced thanks for the help
