I posted a request on my local buy swap sell on facebook and had eggs offered pretty quick, cheaper than gumtree too since I only wanted a few, I paid $15 for 15 eggs from 2 different people.

On that topic we have 3 babes out, and the other 2 I caught a glimpse and they have both pipped and I can see beaks moving. No change on the 4 under Padma.

After the other 4 Australorp eggs being duds I can't believe this one hatched!! Taking bets on it being a rooster! (Holding out hope for a pullet)

Thanks Annie. By the time they realized the virus had mutated and the need for the extra vaccine became obvious , they didn't have the time required to get it listed on PBS. We have a shingles outbreak here and the vaccine is $250 , they recommend that all health workers have it.

I didn't know you could get a cv ac for shingles. I thought you got it when you were run down after having it as a child.

I didn't know you could get a cv ac for shingles. I thought you got it when you were run down after having it as a child.

From what I understand, if you had chicken pox as a child the virus lays dormant in your cells. So if you come in contact with the virus as an adult , you will actually get shingles. If you come in contact with the shingle virus and have never had chicken pox , you will come down with chicken pox. Clear as mud , I know.
The vaccine is new and obviously still not on PBS.

Thanks, I'm looking for pretty specific breeds - was more after finding out if there's a specific place people are going to buy/sell fertile eggs now that Chooknet is gone. Thanks all
