Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

I hope no one minds but i wanted to share this pic. Hubby made this sign for our boys on the weekend. When we lost bear 7 years ago he hand painted one but he decided to redo it when he did a new one for Zeus. The light was not good for this pic but he burnt their names and dates into the wood and then they have 9 coats of clear over the top. I think the boys would like them. :)

Good morning Folks :frow

Lol at “intervention” potato chip :lau

Fancy those pictures are just beautiful! I especially like the rocking chair one.

CTKen nice to see you over this part of the world and many thanks for your thoughts.

Thank You also appps.

I sit here this morning listening to the Doves coo, the Crows caw, the neighbour’s dog bark and hubby sneezing and realise that rehoming KiKi is drastic because if these things do not wake him up, he must have adjusted to those and yep, he just needs to adjust to KiKi.

Hi there RuthiePoo, nice to meet you.  Looking forward to hearing about your flock also.

Annie I got such a chuckle at “Chooks shriek, crow, whinge, grumble, cackle, talk, honk, purr, grunt and just generally make chook noises”.  Yep, and all in the space of 10 minutes :lau

Lol at the cats .. yep, they are a whole different kettle of fish.  While their ears give away the fact that they have heard you; their ignoring of you is obvious :smack

I truly believe the gals know when it is cheese day.  As I mentioned previously in the thread, they share a very small piece of cheese every Sunday afternoon.  Not too hard for them to work out when that is .. it is always towards the end of the second day of nearly all day free range.  We have made a point of spelling out c h e e s e on Sundays ;)

I can also growl at them or say their name in a ‘your in trouble tone’ and they stop and look.

We had a good day yesterday; after my son closed his window at 05:30am he did not surface until 09:30am which I think was a pretty good sleep in.

While I say we had a good day yesterday, not so sure KiKi, Crystal and LuLu would agree.  Their day started out with the indignity of having their butts washed and they were not overly impressed.  In my defence, they should not have such fluffy butts and should put more thought into the whole pooping process :lau

Then they got to spend the whole day pottering around in the garden, between rain showers, while I cleaned the coop and water containers and pottered in the garden. For lunch they got sardines which are always a hit.  I think I have mentioned before, I swear Blondie has a death wish and she has opted for death by garden fork or spade

You need a son like mine Teila. He sleeps with his window open never hears a thing, mind you this same son can sleep through a fire alarm and fireworks.

It took me long enough, but I realised why it had become a problem of late, my son was on holidays for just over a week and while I normally only have to keep them quiet on the weekend, it had been a stressful 9 or so days, trying to keep them quiet every morning.

He got to sleep in until 09:45am yesterday and is already up and about today, getting ready for work.

Not a peep out of the girls after I fed them at 05:30am; good girls

... However, the Crows, Dogs, Doves, Cockatoos and Mr Kookie were not so obliging

Forgot to mention this morning too that i have a broody quail. All these years of having them never had one go broody but this one seems to be. I'll try to get some pics later. Not sure if she will hatch anything but i'll leave her be for now and see how she goes.

Hehe, I think it's time you explained to him that you cannot control the sounds of nature.
Round here we are brutal, it's pretty much ' eat some cement and harden up ' :lau

lol .. actually, while in the past I may have gone out and tried to shush those noises which were under my control, Crows in the trees etc .. I confess to not doing so now .. if I do not shush them, they can take the blame instead of the girls

Is it evil that I was hoping that Mr Kookie would start laughing before KiKi started honking? lol
wink.png
Not that she has honked today.

"We have had a big day and we are very tired
I was interested to know what types the girls are, the reason for the bouffant hair-dos and the dainty feet on the little lady in the front (is that Kiki?)

Anyway, I then notice your link and open it, and read the bios of your girls.

I am pleased to announce that I have solved the issue of Kiki's morning concerts....

Change her name!! She's channelling her namesake. She thinks she's in a group of divas and is just fulfilling her responsibilities as an entertainer.

Don't go breakin my heart!

Yep, KiKi is the 'butter would not melt in her mouth' cute little blonde Frizzle who makes up for her petite stature by having a great set of lungs

The real question is why Cilla isn't waking everybody up....

You're my world! You are my night and DAY!! She should be the "belter" of the group.

EDIT: just tell Kiki to stick with "Amoureuse" in the mornings and not to sing "I've got the music in me" until after lunch...
