Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Thanks again .. she is still quite happily mooching in the garden but still also occasionally ‘stumbling’. I have to work today and of course, as it happens, we have a major issue with one of our applications .. anyways, hubby is keeping a very close eye on her and will duck out for some mackerel shortly [they do not really like tuna

].

Not that I have seen any and I have been vigilant but could it be mites? She is not excessively scratching at her head or anywhere else. Neither are the rest.

Everyone else appears to be fine. Yeah, the half eaten dead gecko, dead rat who may or may not have been killed by the snap trap and loss of KiKi are a concern but also could just be a huge coincidence. The dead gecko was close to two weeks ago now and I found him in the afternoon, before free range, so I doubt the chickens would have got to him as they would not have been out since the prior afternoon when he was not there.

It is a nice sunny day today so she should be OK warmth wise.

Im about 60 posts behind.

If she is not 100% pure Anni you may just be fortunate to have one that comes from a blue egg layer.

I think she's lucky because she gets the full range of colours from one girl.

This one by comparison is pure, came out of a blue blue egg. She and her line are much leaner than other Aras I've seen. She is very hard to get a picture of. A little bit like speedy Gonzales. I can't wait to see what she lays. One of the few that has shown no signs of illness.

I don't know how many more ' jump Starr's ' my heart can take this week. Went out to feed everyone, checked on Buddy , still a bit wobbly but enjoyed his Vegemite on toast. Just sat down to my cuppa tea and toast , and through the family room window I see Scarlett , rug over head and in a flat panic.
She has managed to pull the entire fence down, so we've moved everyone on both sides and this weekend will be a ' fencing ' one. :th

Oh Fancy you seem to be very busy with animals lately. I hope everyone settles down and has a healthy quiet week next week for you. Oh and that starts now not next week.

Teila Good luck

Off to work I wlll catch up on the rest later.

Have a good day.

At least this wasn't a vet call. As lovely as our little English equine vet is, I wasn't expecting to see her until next week for staple removal.
Everyone is as safe as I can make them but the Apster is flogging around on that leg now because everyone has been moved. Hopefully he will settle down.

Oh boy. I'm worried about Lulu. I hope whatever's going on with her passes/gets fixed ASAP. I so hope she's OK :(

Fancy, how much fencing do you have to restore? Is it a big job?

Update on miss frizz. Went to clean out the brooder. Brought her into the house so i could check her over. Sat her on the back of the couch while i filled the water, turned for a quick second and she took off. I race out the door trying to catch her when takes off towards the pens. I couldn't catch her in time and she was back in her old pen. She's eating and drinking fine so i have left her there and will keep checking her every hour.

150-200 m ,luckily the ground is nice and wet so the post hole digger should ar least be able to get through it. We've done quite a bit of post and rail over summer , but it's not cost effective for the entire property.
