Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Well,
My wife and I have just finished making (me), icing and decorating (her), and boxing up (both of us) 12 dozen cupcakes ready for the fete tomorrow.

I'm also taking some of my flock to sell at the fete:
2 x 18 week old Light Sussex Cockerels
6 x 8 week old barnyard mix bantams
7 x week and a half old banyard mix chicks

Hopefully I don't have to bring any home which will mean then I will only have:
5 x Wyandotte X RIR hens
1 x Light Sussex pullet
1 x Barred Plymouth Rock pullet
1 x Dark Plymouth Rock pullet
4 x Araucana chicks (at least on has to be a girl, surely!)

I'm pleased to report that all the bantams and all the chicks are sleeping in new homes tonight!

No takers for the LS cockerals but a number of people commented on what nice birds they are which is true. Hopefully they go to a new home before they start crowing.

In the meantime, I'm trying to send feminine thoughts to the Araucana chicks.

Howdy folks :frow Hey nicky chicky I agree with sjturner79 in that you should see an egg from your Silkie very soon. My white silkie laid white eggs. Nice to see you found us woods2017 .. welcome to the thread! Aaaaw Sam adorable bubbies! Just a couple of progress pics on the Forrest Beach coop which is nearly done .. just the run door, run trim, ramp and staining to go which is a good thing cos the girls fly out Friday.
love that coop. Did your silkie squat .

Thank you .. it is getting there and once it has a coat of stain, should start to look even better.

Some of my gals squat and some don't.  Tina, my Silkie, RIP sweet baby, never squatted.
Tina Turner love it.. My little lollipop named by my Granddaughter doesn't let us touch her but I have noticed she will come closer when the other three eat out of my hand. I will have to be patient. I just want her to love us like the others do

Hey folks

I just wanted to let you know that with BYC going 'read only' mode for a few days while it switches to it's exciting and new platform and format, while some are moving over to BYH in the interim to keep in touch, I am going to use the forced down time to do those things that I keep putting off because I am having too much fun on BYC.

While I will miss you guys n' gals very much, for me, joining Back Yard Herds, while I only have 5 bantams in a suburban scenario and only needing to be a member for a few days is a little bit of overkill, so I will just catch you when BYC is back up, new and shiny!
