Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Thanks Satay I will try the rosemary and lemongrass in my nesting boxes too. I hope you got your lawn mowed.
Fancy I love Dash she is gorgeous, I have an Araucana too, she is a funny little girl they seem to have heaps of personality. She's a great layer and hardly ever uses the nesting box either.
I did be it in the rain but i got it all done. We haven't had big totals by any means just more annoying showers that continue over the days but last left than 5 mins at a time.

yeah great weather for the lice and mites. It's pumpkin day ! :)

This is Madge my Hamburg/leghorn X...named after Madonna... she is just finishing a big Molt...she lost a lot of weight and her usually splendid comb is pale (she did the same last year). But I noticed this morning she has a ‘scab/sore’ on her wattle. She seems a bit yellowy on her skin. I have checked for mites/lice and can’t see any on her... I clean out the roost and sprayed with Woolies surface spray every three months and always have dried lavender (and now Rosemary) in their nesting area. They are due to be wormed next week. They got Molt Muffins daily for a week and mealy worms daily during the molt. And of course no eggs.
Should I bathe and/or put oitment on her wattle? If so what?
Any feedback much appreciated

I wish we had some rain. Its warm again, should be cooler now stupid weather.
Weather does seems very odd this year. For us in general summer was way cooler than the summer before. Think we only had one or 2 days that hit 40 or above unlike the summer before which was weeks and weeks of it. We have had way less rain but rain for more days so everything is only now just starting to brown off. Quite coolish nights already got down to 8c the other night but days mostly have been warmish still so far.
