Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

And something that makes even more exciting, is that I don't know which eggs these hatched from, the flock has a Cuckoo Orp x Light Sussex rooster, and the hens are RIR, RIR x Light Sussex, two BOs, SS, and a Cuckoo Orp. Any ideas?
This broody hen is mean, by the way, and gives one of the others a hard time! Great with her chick though.

Mean mummy = protective = good mummy!!

I think one of my favorite girls had gone broody as she's sitting on the eggs the girls & her laid this morning!!! :yesss:

Was wondering as I'm not ready to hatch more chicks whether it's possible to break her broodiness & then get her to go broody again when I'm ready? Does it work that way? What's been your experience?

I don't really know, as I have never broken one, so far I have just given them eggs as soon as they want them. I know that another experienced member has said that gives them bad habits. (i.e. leaving the nest to soon)
