Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

My cat still does a wheezing sound!
:D
Hmm.. that's interesting... wonder whether anyone's successfully domesticated an adult feral cat before... how old do you reckon he is?
He looks around 8 months old, but I guess if he didn't always have the best food he might have been a bit slow to grow; and actually be a bit older.
Our other feral cat, Hazel, was an adult, but then we didn't domesticate her, she trained us instead!
Yeah poor babies.. and a terrible consequence to the native wildlife too... do you also capture feral dogs about?
No feral dogs here, thank goodness. There is some up in the mountains but they don't come down our way.

We have got our Christmas tree now, but haven't decorated it yet.
We got it from the road side in the state forest, were pine trees come up as weeds.

I think I've eaten too much chocolate before breakfast....!
The dogs have had one wrapped up ginger nut biscuit each, and nearly ate the wrapping paper as well.
They will get some more presents in a bit, as they do like them so much.
I don't think chickens really care either way, and cats aren't much better!

I thought I would share a few photos of my chickens.
George thinks its far too hot!

@MaryJanet I think you like mixes? These ones are the best chicks I've had yet, and they are almost wild, as their mother decided to bring them up properly! (her idea of properly is to know that humans bring food, but to avoid them at all other times.)

I think there is only 3 or 4 cockerels out of 11 chicks, which is quite a record for me!

And I have got my first brooder, its just temporary, as I'm hoping to put them with a broody hen at the end of the week. What happened was I went away for around week, and the family member who was taking care of them didn't collect the eggs, and a hen went broody on them. Asit was going to be a very staggered hatch, I'm putting them in to lockdown in the incubator, and then holding them for around a week until they all hatch.
