Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

saying “hip, hip hooray!” after singing Happy Birthday,
They do this in the Netherlands too. :)
Sometimes they sing Happy Birthday, sometimes a Dutch birthday song, ending with “hip, hip hooray” in a mixed company and “hieperdepiep hoera!” among Dutch.

Sometimes I’d wish I lived in Australia or somewhere else, bc I don’t like my own country anymore. We were a tolerant nation when I was younger but more and more people become manipulative and fascists and our environment is very much polluted nowadays.

PS I hope you don’t mind me barging in your Aussie thread, like this.

If ever I'm back in the Netherlands, I know I can complete the whole "Happy Birthday" ritual with wild abandon! 😂

I think a lot of the world is experiencing troubling times, and I very much hope things will take a turn for the better and kinder in the not-too-distant future. :hugs

Hi Aussies! Guess what? I only just learned that doing the Nutbush dance is an Aussie thing. Until 5 minutes ago, I thought it was done everywhere! What the heck...
I felt very sad that somehow growing up in Cowra / Orange I'd missed learning this and never heard of it until I watched the video! Turns out I know the dance not the name 🤣🤣🤣

View attachment 1656528 ok I know you shouldn't open incubator until lock down is over, but one new chick fell through hole of hatcher floor into the water channel. Hole is to add water to channel for humidity. So yes I opened it and got the little one out with 3 others. Blocked hole with tissue an locked incubator back up. 5 more eggs still in incubator and 4 chicks so far. Hope by saving one I haven't harmed the other.
do you know where i can get any embden goslings? South Australia
