Do you have heat-hardy breeds? Do you cool down the coop or anything?

My coop gets afternoon shade, but my chickens usually free range during the day. On the hotter days I put bottles of ice in the coop and around the yard. The chooks will sit next to the frozen bottle if they are too warm. I do the same in the budgie aviary. They will stand on the bottles to cool their feet (the quail will snuggle up next to the bottle). I also get out with the hose and mist the birds and wash down the roof and walls to cool them off.
