Start when they are puppies and teach them to enjoy being vacuumed with the hose. I did that with one Golden years ago, it made such a difference! These two I got as adults and they are like, Nope!
Denver loves the vacuum

Tucker hates it. Atleast he doesnt shed as much

Start by using just the end attachment to brush your dog. Use the upholstery attachment, it looks like a round brush. If you can manage it, use the attachment and a comb together so he feels his hair being gently pulled out. Another day, do that, with the vacuum running in a far part of the room. Every day, as long the dog shows no distress, move the vacuum a little closer. The dog should really be enjoying this. Finally, connect the attachment to the vacuum and give him just a little stroke. Assess his reaction. If he seems calm, continue. If not, just stroke him with the comb for a few strokes then again with the vacuum brush. Alternate, keeping him calm. Only do as much as he will tolerate. Repeat each day until he enjoys it. It may happen all in one day, or it may take a week or more. Or he may never enjoy it. It's up to him. You can't force it.
