Quick Story/Fact (optional): My husband used to get chased by his uncles australorps when he was younger, so he was mad when I brought home these guys. I just bought them from a FFA graduate at the Maricopa County Fair. Appparently he won Best Large Fowl at the Arizona Poultry Organization show in February, she told me. I had to keep picking him up and loving on him to show my husband he is a gentle giant.

"No name chick" ALWAYS snuggles in my hand, "Maggie" is just cute and "Big Bird" is so huge compared to the others that she looks like Big Bird in black, thus the name, she is the first to try the new roost today! All are super sweet so far!

Quick story: Sweetie is our favorite of our 9 Australorps, who are all 6-week-old chicks. She is always the first to greet us when we come out with treats. My 9-year-old daughter named her Sweetie because she is our friendliest girl. I love this picture of her because I caught her with one leg raised.
