Australorps breed Thread

Well they started last night and as of 5PM I have 2-Splash, and 4-Blues, with one late piper. Out of 8 shipped eggs one never developed and the last one in the bator is questionable. Time will tell.
Pics will follow tomorrow when I hear from Chet.

G'day,

Hatching out chickens is an exciting time. Every year I still get a thrill to see the little lives struggle from their shells and then grow into happy chicks despite being needled, prodded and poked.
I hope all your new hatchlings grow in to Champs.

Kind regards,

Ross

The HUPP 6 are here and ready for their photo debut, born 3-28-13. There are 2-Splash and 4-Light and dark Blues, possibly one black in the bunch, not sure yet. I will try to do the every two week progression like I did with the TigerCreek

line. Here ya go!

Yep, you are right I screwed up the date. 3-28-13 is correct.
Aveca,
I am not sure about the darker one. He is lighter than my blacks so I am hoping they are blue and splash only. What did you get from Chet and what actually hatched? I started with 8, one no action and the other one no pip after 2 days. I am so pleased with 6 out of 8 for shipped eggs and the bonus is the splash and blues.
Chet,
What do you think about your babies?
Kurt
