Australorps breed Thread

Wow, I wouldn't think that only 4 wks would make such a difference !! I would definetly be interested in some MOJO eggs,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,.........................................................., if you would consider letting some go next spring.

Thanks for the kind words y'all. Here are pics from today of MOJO & girls. He is 26 wks old, with 20 wk and 24 wk old pullets. You can see the difference in comb development.

Lookie lookie what we found this evening...our first egg! It was not in the nest box, but rather by the entrance into the coop- on the threshold. I believe it was from "Flower" our 20 wk old Australorp.

Getting ready to enjoy it and it was sweet like candy!

Oh that is so wonderful! Such a nice egg and looks delicious. So glad you shared the good news. How fun for your children to experience it too.
It can be so crazy where they lay eggs until they get the hang of using the nest box. ~Dee~

G'day,

Good news!
The three personally signed Ray Connor Australorp books are on their way by Air Mail to IL, NY and WV from Australia.
Hopefully you guys will see them late next week some time. Please let me know when they arrive.

I am also waiting on a picture of a very typey Large Black Australorp Cockerel that we showed over the weekend. If you wish I can post it here.

That was my last show for the 2013 season and we now have penned up our breeders for the 2014 show season. Hopefully the new chicks will be hatched out between August, September and October for next year's show season.

Regards,
Ross
