Australorps breed Thread

Pictures of my cockrel, Chirp (my son named the chickens) and prize pullet, Cluck (again, my son named them). They are almost 7 months here.


Cluck in the foreground, my Roo behind her. My cat outside the run pretending not to care that these birds can totally beat him up now.





Look at her broad chest and wonderful straight tail:) And she already poses like a supermodel



They look very nice!

Australorps are one of the few Hatchery breeds that have not been crossed with leghorns. They have just been neglected for Standard Breeding.

You will like them more and more.
 
Hi folks... I've been lurking around this thread for quite some time as I'm a fan of BA's but currently only have one BA and it's a rooster. In the spring I plan to get a few BA girls to add to my flock of 14.

Thought I'd post two or three pics of my boy, Rodney. He's currently 7 months old and has his very own harem of 13 girls.
