Australorps breed Thread

I have 4 black australorps in my little 9 bird backyard flock. They are really sweet! 2 are 6 weeks old and 2 are 4 weeks. The older ones are a little bossy, esp with my 2 4 week old cochins, but I've heard that cochins let themselves get pushed around a lot by anyone.

They are so friendly! Can't wait to see what they will look like in a few months!

I didn't know they came in any other colors than black! Our little black babies are so cute and sweet! They always jump up on me when I'm sitting on my bucket in our coop. (I'm sure they are looking for blueberries;)) I ordered all our chicks from MyPetChicken.com, and they only had black australorps. We also have 1 partridge cochin, 1 barred plymouth rock, 2 blue cochins and 1 buff orpington. We did have 3 more, a BPR cockeral and 2 more BPR pullets, but I just rehomed them today to a man who's son is going to use them for a 4 H project breeding project. Sad to see him go, but can't have roos in the neighborhood.

Awesome that you have had a good time with them. Yes there are other colors.I may have some white too, just have too see if they are splash or white

Now that they are nearly grown, they are so sweet. They always allow picking up and actually like petting! No eggs yet, but we love them so much already.
