How would rate the noise level for BA, and how they relate to other breeds. We are just starting out and are trying to determine what is best for us. We can only get 5, and would like a good layer, friendly bird, but want to keep neighbors happy too...

My Big girls are from Cackle. They are quiet and get along well with other breeds.

The do make noise after they lay an egg but they are not the ones squawking at me to open the coop door in the morning.

My BA's are 5 weeks now. I'm pretty sure they are pullets. They enjoy flying on my shoulder.

I got BA's for those reasons, but mine are still babies.

I have 19 BA hens and 3 roosters, the hens you hardly hear a peep out of them unless they lay their egg. Then they talk like crazy and tell me all about it.

LOL Oh my gosh! I was surprised to read the continued saga of BA chick moms. That is the cutest story! Would have loved to seen a video of that reunion with the sound turned up. So sweet! Really got a kick of of it. How long do you think you are going to keep them together? Well, glad to hear your Pene are content now. Too funny! ~Dee~
