One of my 16 BA's has been laying double yolk eggs... Poor girl!

My 3 pullets are laying almost every day. They aren't loving by any means, but all of them tolerate being held briefly and patted now and again. My hubby thought I was nuts trying to make "pets" of them. He appreciates it when they need to be handled, though. One of them pecks my hand too much when I feed them, but she's never been that friendly. My roo used to love to be able to perch on my arm but I'm not exactly sure that would work out now lol. I could put him to sleep petting him. Miss those days, but he's still my favorite.

He still might ? Roos love high places ..maybe your shoulder ? Is he still friendly ?

Welcome aboard the crazy chicken train. Your cockerel reminded me of one of my prized breeders "Dundee". He was real friendly and would listen to a lot of voice commands and do tricks. Check out my link to Dundee Lap Dance below. After I lost him I never taught another chicken tricks. You are way out west by the Ohio border and I am way east by Martinsburg,WV. Quite a diverse state we live in, don't ya think.

A few hours before I boarded my flight I was given 8 BA eggs. 5 candled alive. I just may end up with a few aussies !
