I like to look at it this way ...a pullet egg is smaller ...it makes a smaller chicken ...there are exceptions of course.
I think that is why a couple of my 1/2 aussies are smaller ..they came from a pullet egg
Yeah he poked his head in just as I was gonna take a pic of the australorp roo. Lol.
Can you give BOB to quail? It can benefit all of them. When I started using it, I gave it to all of mine...layers, show birds, adults and babies.

BOB is what ?
http://www.southlandorganics.com/pages/big-ole-bird-ingredientsWhether you keep poultry for show, for their eggs, or just as pets, you want a bird less susceptible to disease, a bird that keeps a healthy weight, and a bird that lays plenty of eggs. Now with Big Ole Bird poultry supplement, you can achieve all of this easily and inexpensively.
Big Ole Bird or BoB is Biology Optimized for Birds. There are other probiotics for chickens products on the market that offer probiotic microorganisms aimed at improving gut microflora. However, BoB takes this technology to the next level by introducing rich organic acids to the formula in the form of humic and fulvic acids. Scientific Studies show that Humic acid, when added to the diet of poultry, provides a number of beneficial effects:
Big ole Bird is equally safe and effective for ducks, turkeys, geese, pheasants, quail, or peafowl.
- Healthier weights
- Improved egg quality and quantity
- Decreased mortality
- Improved resistance to pathogens and disease
BoB also controls the growth of disgusting algae in your water trough, keeping it clean and sanitary.
