Mine had bigger combs and wattles. They started laying about two weeks after the egg squat.

It is hard to say because the low number of day light hours slows them down by a couple of weeks or so. I would guess she will lay in a month or so.

Mine were almost six months old and were hatched in early February.

Look for the first egg countdown forum. It's fun and should start seeing more activity as we move past winter.

A BYC Member on the San Francisco Bay Area forum just had her 27 week old Wyendotte start laying. Someone else has 33 week old chickens laying.

You can wait or give them some light. There is a lot of information about this, but the way that works for me is to add a couple of hours of regular incandescent light in the morning. I am using 40 watt, but the directions say they need enough light to see their food.

Good luck!
