Authentic Woods KD (Knock Down) 10' by 16' Coop Build

You can kinda see the eye hooks on the left side of the board.
I was thinking about your eye bolts as I leveled yesterday, great idea! I just used round headed screws, which are fine for the vinyl board liner. You have BJ57 on your boards?

Given the small size of the basket holes I assume you are using powdered?
Nope, granulated....have to shake it and tap it but it all goes thru.
Juicy poops soak the granules and need more tapping.
I use a short handled hoe to pull material into piles to push it into the basket.
Also use that hoe to press and scrape basket bottom against sifted PDZ to clean off any residue before storing.

No, I have vinyl. When I made the board, I wanted to put it in the coop the same day. I had round head screws in the board for awhile and changed them out to eye hooks. When I tilt the board, I thought the eye hooks being thinner would glide better. I don't think it really matters though.

No, I use granular, that's all TSC carries here. It goes through the wire without a problem, but I use a two step process, so I don't clog the wire up with wet poop. There's usually a few, with 24 chickens. I scoop the board of the big pieces, then I sift. I used to use just the basket, but for me, the two step process works good.

I had to think about the eye hooks then it dawned that they keep the board at the proper height for leveling

Yes, it keeps the board above the PDZ and makes it real easy to smooth it out. As you get less PDZ on the board, tilt the leveling board, until you add more. I just took this picture, my PDZ is about 1/4 inch now. The eye hook on the end, is how I hang it in the coop on a nail, along with my other things I need for the board.
