Auto turning courtix quail eggs

I have 26 eggs about to go incubator but i dont have quail rails on my autoturner. Is it ok to place something into the turner to keep them in position like paper or toliet paper. Or will they just be ok in the turner on there own. They fit in there buti m afraid where thy go deep into the bottom holes they will get stuck.

Just put them in the holes, it wont cause a problem. I hatch chukars as well as quail and I use the chicken rails for the chukar eggs and fill up the rest of the holes with coturnix eggs. Honestly if you have jumbo coturnix that lay big eggs you can't fill the quail trays full anyway or they wont turn all the way. A lot of times they won't even fit diagonally to another eggs bc they are too fat. The quail rails are perfect for small coturnix eggs or bobwhites though.
