ive got 5 barred rock hens and one rooster, all just under 12 weeks also. i also have 13 australorps, 8 RIR, and three leghorns(one leghorn is roo) we will only keepthe leghorns, two australorps, and two RIR. If you want eggs the breeds u have r good but i reccomend only one rooster ( two if they are separated. a good number for 4 egg-wise is about 8-12

Family of two. My brother and I. 88 birds right now 38 are 13 weeks and 51 are NHR pullets 4 weeks old. Will be selling about 50 all together to get back my start up money and to have some walkin' around money. Dunno about the eggs yet. Plan to eat some, hatch some, sell some, and give away what I can't. My Mom says she don't like brown eggs. But I hope I change her mind. They are free range on 330 acres with a field and pine woods full of yummy bugs.

I have 40 and 25 chicks. I also sell my eggs. Any less the perfect and any small eggs we keep. We sell the rest. We also grade our eggs.

One Big Ol Pheonix Roo(Who never crows,ever!) 5 wyondottes 3 months,2 ducks 3 months,About 33 assorted bantam chicks 1-6 weeks old. O yea & 3 Yellow Gold Pheasant chicks 3 weeks...

We live on 1/3 acre & have 16 layers...(no roosters-I don't have room in the coop for more). The coop is a 4x9 walk-in building with an attached run 4x40...and are turned loose in the yard on many days (when I am home)...the last of our kids is getting married so after oct., it will only be the 2 of us.

I have 38 acres but am not here full time so my chickens have a large (very large) enclosed pen and 10x12' hen house. I have 10 hens..1 ameracauna, 1 buff silkie, 2 sex link, 2 RIR's and four production reds. They free range when I am here to let them out and close them up at night. I average about 6 eggs a day. That gives me eggs to share with friends and family. My luck with roosters this year is not a topic fit for discussion.

We live on about an acre. I have 7 chickens. 3 roos. I am getting down to 1 roo. Then I'll have roo for my Columbian Cochin pair and a BSL pullet. None are laying yet, but my OEGB is REALLLLLLY close
